This summer the plan was to till up the backyard and put GOOD grass down for Mason and Miles to play on. Okay and us too!!!! (We had grass but it was patchy and you could see the fishing line it was on when they planted it.) Once we got the yard tilled up and leveled out we decided to put in a sprinkler system to keep the grass ALIVE. That change of plan required digging ditches...... YUCK!!!! Thank goodness for the rented ditch
witcher that did most of it. Between Joel, myself and one of the BEST neighbors ever we got the yard tilled up, ditches dug and the sprinkler system in. (Which took several weeks!!) Then with the help of my mom and dad we got 4 pallets (1900 sq ft) of grass squares laid in the backyard. The grass laying alone was an all day event and all were
soooo exhausted when we were done.
Here I was feeling sorry for Mason for not having grass to play in.......He is all boy and was so excited to get REALLY muddy every chance he got while the yard was torn up. These are pictures of us trying to pack/fill in the holes after putting the sprinkler system in. Mason loved being up to his neck in mud.

It was a pretty muddy job both of us fell in the mud holes. Some of us on accident and others of us not.....I let you decided who did it on purpose.

But my little angel Miles was the cleanest of all.

The Finished Product
Mason playing in the green grass. I think he misses the mud but now he has fun playing with all of his toys that were put up for awhile.
